2023 Rural Health Career Camp

2023 Rural Health Careers Camp

Registration is now available for the 2023 Rural Health Careers Camp. The Rural Health Careers Camp is a three-day, overnight educational program for high school students interested in the healthcare field. Students will participate in hands-on learning activities and labs that represent different healthcare careers and stay at an overnight facility to experience living on a college campus. Some of the healthcare careers already scheduled are: medicine, nursing, social work, dentistry, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medical lab sciences, and many more!


The 2023 camp will be in-person at the Bishop Lane Retreat Center, 7708 E McGregor Rd, Rockford, IL 61102 from Monday, June 26 through Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

Check-in will be at 9:00 am on Monday and check-out is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Wednesday.

The cost to attend the camp is $100 and scholarships are available.

The ICC Student Film Festival is back! And in addition to current and former ICC students, they're opening up our 2023 ICC Student Film Festival to prospective ICC students. If any of you have been making films, animations, stop-motions, documentaries, installations, music videos, etc.  they’d love for you to consider this as a wonderful and local opportunity for them.

March 10 is the deadline to submit files through FilmFreeway.com/ICCStudentFilmFest, and

Western Illinois University is Waiving Application Fee!!!!

WIU is waiving the application fee today through March 5! Please encourage your students interested in Western to take advantage of this opportunity.

Students can go online to wiu.edu/apply to complete the application. They can self-report their grades directly on the application or send unofficial or official transcripts. Students with a 2.75+ GPA (4.0 scale) are automatically admitted to WIU!

Must enroll for Fall 2023 as a freshman or 1st year student in part-time or full-time study at a 2-year, 4-year, college, university, trade or vocational school. The school must be an accredited U.S. institution, and listed on the official website for the U.S. Department of Education.
